Accommodation in the All Africa House

Accommodation is left to be arranged individually by participants. However, we have made special arrangements with the All Africa House, which is a university guesthouse located on the middle campus (10-15 min walking distance to the conference venue). We have reserved a limited number of rooms for conference participants until 1 October 2007, which you can book using the reference data (UCT Department: ILC 2007, UCT Contact Person: Brattka/Archibald). Until the deadline they will be assigned on a first comes first served basis to conference participants only (and to everybody after the deadline).

Other Accommodation

The list on the right hand side also contains some Bed & Breakfast Guest Houses close to the university campus as alternative accommodation. These guesthouses are in about 20-30 min walking distance to the conference venue.

As Cape Town has no recommendable public transportation and the main campus of UCT, where the conference takes place, is located somewhat outside of the center of the city, it is not very suitable to choose an accommodation far away from the university, unless a rental car or other transportation is available. During the week the university shuttle bus (Jammie Shuttle) connects the main campus with the Hiddingh campus in the center of Cape Town (Orange Street and close to Long Street and Kloof Street).

Airport Transfer

We recommend prior arrangement of an airport transfer from and to your accommodation. A shuttle service is listed on the right hand side.
