We are planning to update the software in the computer labs for Semester 2,, and invite suggestions for software that you would like to see installed. The proposed software would need to be able to run on Windows 10, and licensed.
For a list of software already on the ICTS base image (i.e. programmes made available to all computer lab environments) and, therefore, also already available in the computer lab, visit http://www.icts.uct.ac.za/health-sciences-labs
In the past 2 weeks we have received a number of NRF funding calls which we have distributed through the UCT research funding email address to the research community. The new calls have very strict deadlines. To eliminate the risk of researchers missing some of these emails and ease of reference, below is a summary of the calls with a brief description and contact persons.
We seek several students, a postdoc and a research technician to join our newly funded “Seasonality in the Cape” project exploring the impacts of changes in seasonality on vegetation and birds in the Greater Cape Floristic Region.
Professor Jeremy Seekings will give the next joint CSSR/Institute lunch seminar on April 24 on The 'Coverage' or Reach of Social Protection in Africa: A critical look at data. View our events page for details.
